"Livin on the Edge" - Aerosmith

I have had a rather adventurous weekend. Yesterday as me, Hilary and Courtney were coming back from Jordan River temple I got a phone call from a friend that I grew up with, Katie. We went to preschool together. We go way back. Anyway, I knew that she was going to be in town this week for our friend's bridal shower. She called me up and asked me if I wanted to go spend the night with a bunch of our friends in a time share up in Midway. At first I was kind of hesitant but I am so glad that I went! I went up a little bit later than everyone else with another one of our friends, Christina.

We got there a little bit after 10 o'clock but the night was still young! We all put our swim suits on and headed to a hot pot (which is like a giant hot tub). Mind you we were way up in the canyon and there was still snow on the ground. So we dropped out shoes and our towels and had to walk down to the hot pot. It was freezing cold which made adjusting to the 100+ degree water very difficult. But as soon as you could fully emerge yourself it was like heaven. It felt soooo good. And if you got too hot then you just stood up for a little bit to cool down before getting back in. I was a little paranoid on our way there. I kept asking them if the water was diseased if we were all going to get sick. I was scared to get into the water when it's completely dark outside. I was scared of it being too hot. Surprisingly the water was crystal clear. We could see our feet by the little bit of moonlight that we had. We lasted about 45 min before we were cooked. I had so much fun! There were a lot of people there for 11 0'clock but I guess it was a friday night. I am totally going to make plans to go back again!

We spent the rest of the night playing games and talking and laughing and doing what a bunch of girls do! We didn't go to bed till about 3 in the morning and we had to get up early to make it back so that my friends could get stuff done before the bridal shower. The bridal shower was so much fun! We were joking around how it was a mini Riverside Reunion. It was so good to see a lot of my old friends.

Yesterday was such a gorgeous day and guess what today was like? It snowed. Again. I do not understand how that works exactly. Oh well I guess that's Utah for you.
