"I Wanna Go (Hunger Games)" - Luke Conrad

There are only two and a half weeks left of classes. Sometimes I feel like the end isn't getting any closer. Sometimes I'm so ready to be done; other days I know I am going to miss BYU so much. I'm probably a broken record for saying that but it's my feelings and I'll share if I want to. :)

What exciting things happened this week? Hmm well there was the Hunger Games midnight premier. It was good. I liked it but didn't love it. I didn't feel like I emotionally connected with it. Maybe I was expecting to have that same connection as Harry Potter but who knows. I started rereading the book but didn't finish it until the next morning, but at least it gave me something to do before the movie started.

Friday I only had one class in the morning and because we had just taken a test this week I decided that sleep was more important. Especially since three times last week I may or may not have gone to bed at 530 in the morning...don't ask questions. Friday night was my recital. I did fine, but not my best. There were some annoying freshmen that kept talking during my performance and I wanted to stop in the middle and shush them up but I didn't. However that night I got to bake my own pie that I made by myself! It turned out pretty dang good let me tell you. The crust is the perfect flakiness. I feel so homemaky now. Marriage points for me.

Then Saturday Diane, Rachel, and I went to go play games in the HFAC for a friend's birthday. It was dangerous and I have tons of bruises. When we got make we spontaneously decided to have a crepe party. It was pretty dang good.

So that's my life right now. Oh you wanna know what probably the most exciting part of my week has been? Minus the conversation I had with my mom today...TULIPS ARE BLOOMING!!! I can't wait to go take pictures of them :)

"Cry Me a River" - Michael Buble

What is going on in my life you may ask? You're probably glad that I have an assignment to blog every week otherwise you would never know what is going on in my life. The only people that know the answer to that question are my roommates and Rachel and her apartment. Not even my own mother knows what is going on in my life. We hardly have time to talk any more. Much sadness.

So what is going on in my life? Well in 33 days I will be graduating!!! and turning 22. Can I get a whoop whoop? There are only 18 days left of classes. holla!!! I still feel that graduation is like months away. You know at the beginning of the semester I was not that excited about graduating. Well every day that I get closer the more excited I get. I am soooo done with school and assignments and tests. Senioritis is terrible! But I will say that I am still making it to almost all of my classes.

Also things I want. SLEEP. I haven't gotten more than probably five and a half hours of sleep in the last....2 weeks maybe? I'm not saying this for pitty party time but just as a realization that I am soooo ready to be able to go to bed before 1 in the morning again. ugh. But on the happy side of that at least I am no longer sick! I don't know how I would be surviving now and still be sick. Oh wait I probably wouldn't be.

Haha this post makes me laugh when I go back and read it again. Sleep deprivation much?

Today has been a pretty awesome day though. First off it snowed! I am trying to convince myself that that is happy...at least it hasn't really been sticking..oh wait..scratch that ah poop. I got to talk to my friend that got home from his mission today. Now everyone from my age in school has finally made it home from their missions. Phew that only took like 3 years for that to happen. And my visiting teachers were gonna come however something came up. But they were super nice and brought me cinnamon crepes and I just happened to have strawberries and nutella. What are the odds?

"Turn to Stone" - Ingrid Michaelson

This last weekend was DanceSport. Which, for those who don't know, is a huge dance competition. People come from all over the nation to compete. It ranges from like age 4 to...older people haha. We had the top 4 in the nation come and perform. It seriously is like the best thing ever. I wish I could write better about how much I love it and how awesome it is but I am so sleep deprived I know that this isn't going to be very coherent.

I competed in three events: triple-step swing, quickstep and waltz. I didn't make it very far in any of my events. That's the joy about competing in ballroom. You rely so much on your partner and if they mess up then...that's the end of that. I fell during quickstep. It wasn't my finest moment. At least it's not uncommon to fall while dancing that...well at least in our class.

My favorite thing about DanceSport was watching cabaret. I recorded my favorite couple and they actually won overall!  Go here to watch it on youtube. I also loved watching the little kids compete. They get all dressed up and they are decked out and they dance better than I do! I had a favorite couple that I got to watch all weekend, 632. They are seriously just the cutest little thing ever. We kept trying to guess how old they were and I think we decided around 7. But they dance as well as like the ballroom team members!

Anyway it was an awesome weekend. I have never listened to so much Paso Doble music before in my life and Michael Buble. And when I close my eyes I still see sequences and feathers and rhinestones. I just love ballroom so much!

"Jesus Take the Wheel" - Carrie Underwood

I thought I was going to be better this week and blog earlier in the week so I didn't have to have a panic attack Sunday night. Well that didn't happen and I just experienced my panic attack. I didn't blog earlier because I've been sick all week and that plus school and dance, life has just been a little busy. I think I am starting to feel a little better today. Next weekend is dancesport competition. As of right now I'm competing in quickstep and triple step swing.  I want to compete in waltz too but I have to talk to my teacher about some stuff first.

My adventure for the week was rescuing some people in the snow. Our RS went to a cabin in midway this weekend and one car of girls passed the cabin and kept driving down the road passed where they stopped plowing for a couple of miles. What possessed them to drive on an unplowed road and to continue driving for that long I have no idea. But because my car was the only one that had anything besides two-wheel drive I got to go help save them. I think I have pushed enough cars this weekend stuck in snow to last me for a while.
