So as life would have it right now I'm a loner. Going from roommates who want to do stuff, most of the time...some of the time...from putting on pjs at 730 sitting around thinking what on earth am I going to do entertain myself until I manage to get tired - is a very difficult thing.
So here I am. In bed. Alone. Talking to Rachel through gmail chat. (which I actually miss a lot because obviously we never did that when we were roommates) Pondering life. Or thinking about how much I still have to do to my room. Hungry. Listening to good ole Josh. Thinking I should probably blog because I have nothing else to do.
I need friends. Ok well I have friends. I need friends in the state of Nevada who aren't going on missions or dating. Now this is turning into a late night pity party.
I need some thing cheerful. Oh yeah. Look at my kick butt word!!
Triple Letter on the J and Triple word. Heck. yes. I am just that awesome.

"Wild Ones" - Flo Rida
This is the latest and greatest - good, bad and ugly gossip column by yours truly. Anna requested me come up with an awesome name for this. I'll think of something good.
Hmm how about Papa-Papa-Paparazzi?
As for the local gossip Ryan Lochte (pronounced lock-tee) the olympic swimmer has been having a birthday bash in Vegas. That guy, heaven bless him. I sure hope his stupidity is a publicity stunt. And we will never forget, how hard me way try, his grill. I could write a whole post on him and the stupid things he's said...maybe I should.
ooooo I just read online that Ryan Jeah Lochte was in talks to be the next bachelor. oh my word. I would seriously watch that season. It could be the most entertaining season. Those poor girls that sign up.
Moving on...His Royal Highness Prince Harry has also been hanging in Vegas. Apparently he's been on good behavior. But the spotlight wasn't on him because JLo was throwing a party just a few
bungalows down from him.
Everyone remembers Dick Van Dyke right? please tell me you know who he is. If you don't go watch MARY POPPINS RIGHT NOW. Anyway he's going to receive Screen Actors Guild's highest honor of Lifetime Achievement Award! I think that's pretty awesome.
The Bacholerette winner Jef-one-f was raised Mormon but no longer practicing. However his parental units are mission presidents in South Carolina. Well recently Emily and Jef-one-f were seen at church in SC visiting the parental units. There is even photo evidence.
Did you hear about the congressman from Missouri that was talking about abortion and then made statements that women who are legitimately raped can't get pregnant because their bodies shut down and don't allow them to? I don't know what kind of a doctor he's been talking to but everyone's in an uproar. seriously though. Legitimate rape? I'm pretty sure any kind of rape is legitimate.
For the older crowd Phyllis Diller passed away yesterday. I only know her from a Full House episode.
Bev Tanner, a mother of someone from our ward, passed away also. Apparently she's been on the David Letterman show a bunch of times. Here's a video of one of them.
hmm the video won't embed so maybe the link will work. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_11L3u_QLhA&feature=youtu.be
And for some happy notes, literally happy notes - that is in music notes hardy har har, here is a new youtubber I saw with Alex Boye singing Good Life in swahili I think.
And then another personal favorite which I know my adorable nephew Jackson loves - the piano guys
Ok one more because I found it in the process of finding other youtube videos
dang ok I just keep forgetting stuff to add! Here's a picture that my friend took at Disneyland with Mickey Mouse dressed as Jack Kelly from Newsies!! You wanna watch Newsies? Because I sure do.

"I Love to Laugh" - Marry Poppins Soundtrack
If I lived in the wonderful world of Mary Poppins I would have been living on the ceiling Sunday night/Monday. I think I laughed more than what was healthy. I just couldn't stop. I wasn't even sleep deprived. There was just too much goodness to keep me from stopping.
Let's start with Sunday night. I was already laughing before my home teachers showed up. Then Ryan made the comment that he loves coming to our apartment because we are always laughing. Then Rachel made the comment that it's usually just the two of us laughing and the rest of the roommates are thinking "go back to your corner bedroom." So Ryan gets all excited and asks if we really are in the last bedroom. He then proceeds to tell us that one night a while ago at like 130 in the morning he could hear us during pillow talk. He said he remembered....but he wouldn't tell us. I really didn't want to know. Then I really wanted to know. Then he claimed he couldn't remember. I'm still trying to figure that one out.
We spent the rest of the visit trying to make it through without laughing. I had to resort to staring at the kitchen floor so I wouldn't make eye contact with anyone.
After they left we were still laughing about some stuff. It's sad I can't remember everything but I'm sure you wouldn't think it would be as funny. So then we started looking at youtube videos and my roommate introduced me to one called Laddergoat. Oh man I'm starting to laugh just thinking about it. You can watch here and so are aware he starts swearing around like 2:40 so you have been warned. Plus there's not much after that. I realize that not everyone will think this is funny But I hope some of you get a good laugh out of it :)
Well that night Rachel and I are going to bed and she goes to take her glasses off and drops them on the floor. She's trying to feel around for them and I am already busting a gut. Then she asked me to help her and I asked to see her face and then we proceeded to sit in bed and laugh for like 10 minutes for I could calm down.
I love to laugh.

"Use Somebody" - Kings of Leon
So sometimes I get some sort of creative juices flowing. Not often. So I have to appreciate and live up those few moments. Well 4th of July I had a brilliant idea that some people did not think would work but huzzah huzzah it turned out AMAZING.
I'm talking 'bout my cupcakes. Yes'm they were dang good.
So to get this awesome cupcake we took a white cake mix and split it into three bowls. Then we added some dye and got red white and blue! Next when putting it in the cupcake paper thingys we just layered them and they baked so well!!
For the frosting I pulled a recipe from the great Pinterest. You can find it here It's so light and fluffy. Everyone thought it was some like hard core buttermilk frosting. No way man. Awesome frosting.
We got to watch a firework show from the backyard of a friend's house. Kaleen and I watched from sitting on the pool slide!

"La La Land" - Demi Lovato
Programs have many different uses. Not only can they provide the information like what hymns we'll be singing or who might be talking, they can provide much entertainment as well.
This is a program from Elaine and Sheldon's ward. So funny.
It's always fun to do your own drawings too. There was this one time in sacrament meeting where I had a hard time paying attention so I distracted Rachel and asked her to play hangman with me. Anyone who can figure out the two secret messages wins a prize!

"Too Close" - Alex Clare
So I love the olympics. Seriously love them. Watch them every night. NBC has been a total fail this time around but that's for another blog post. With all those technological advances these days it kind of spoils all the results. Facebook, Twitter...yeah. So I've pretty much known all the results of the events before NBC decides to air it much, much later with much, much more commercial breaks. But today I'm fasting from any type of technology that might spoil results for tonight. TEAM PHELPS ALL THE WAY - CRUSH LOCHTE. *ahem*
All of that has very little to do with the post I originally planned. But back to the whole not knowing results thing...last night I was watching the women's relay in swimming. And for the first time I didn't know what was going to happen. So I'm excited, freaking out you know how it goes. All of a sudden there's a knock on the door. We yell twice for them to come in. Nothing. So then I open the door from the couch I was sitting on and all of a sudden there's people like singing Christmas songs and all I can do is look at the TV. Sorry people the olympics are on. So me and my roommate are watching the TV, Rachel is in the kitchen washing dishes and they just proceed to sing their carols. I have no idea what they sang bahaha.
So they finish, hand me a plate and say to return the plate once we're done...(why would you give random someones treats and then ask to return the plate?) So I look at the plate and they made rice crispy treats in the form of a wreath with what appeared to be drops of blood.
Just kidding it just appeared that way. We figured it was supposed to say Merry Christmas.
So we're sitting here finishing the match (we won by the way and by we I mean the team US of A. Go Amurica) and we're laughing about what just went down and Rachel said oh yeah so and so posted on the ward fb wall if anyone wanted to go caroling tonight. And I was like why did they pick our apartment. Then my roommate said probably because they think we're inactive. Oh man we got a good laugh out of that. Makes me think of the Singles Ward. "Hey we're having a ward BBQ thought you might like some chicken." hahahahahah
I'm still laughing.

"I Won't Give Up" - Jason Mraz
So sometimes I think that I've blogged because I totally thought through what I wanted to say and even the pictures to post...and then I get on and realized that I never did. Ha. Good thing I'm not busy with girls camp anymore! Ha.
So when I first got home we went to the park that night. I can't remember the last time that we were all at the park together. Oh well I guess dad was gone...but I mean all the kids. We played baseball which was super entertaining. And I actually got to walk on grass. That doesn't happen often.
Thank goodness for iPhones because I seriously take most of my pictures on it now. It helps capture the moment you know? I don't know what I'm talking about anymore so here's the pictures.
Major bummer Anna is not in this picture!! But she was definitely there I promise :) and it totally looks like Jackson is throwing gangster signs bahaha. My gansta nephew.
He's adorable.
