"Photograph" - Nickleback

I took my last test last week and so I'm done until finals, well except for my photography gallery which is tomorrow. And I am so dang excited! My pictures look so much better now that they are printed. I think the hardest part is thinking of titles for my pictures but they are coming along. I like feeling all deep and artistic since I've never really considered myself a very creative person.

So that's pretty much it. I just wanted to explain my lack of posts. My life hasn't really been that exciting and we've had such horrible weather I haven't been able to go take pictures. I can't wait for the weather to warm up and stay warm.

"Window In The Skies" - U2

Here it is. The last of the Moab pictures. We did these right before we left to come home. We went to Double Arches and to all the windows.

This is Double Arch. This picture makes it look like a tarantula.

You know me. I can't pass up anything to do with anatomy! Look at the oleacrenon process! haha

There is one of the windows...North maybe?
I finally started messing around with black and white at windows. I wish I would have done more in black and white because I like what it does to the texture of the picture.

We had our last class for photography last week. We ended early so we could watch the game. I'm super sad that the class is ending but excited because I've learned so much and now I can only get better! Our final for this class is a gallery that we are doing next Thursday. We have to print some of our favorite pictures and tell a little bit about them. It should be pretty exciting. Now I just have to pick out what pictures to print!

"Teach Me How To Jimmer" - Feel Good Music

Today is a big day. Like huge.

It all starts at 5:27 PM Mountain Time on TBS.

I just got out of Pearl of Great Price. We had a wonderful discussion on Joseph Smith and the first vision. My professor finished his thoughts and the bell rung. So we all packed up our things and started heading out of the door and all of sudden he yelled. "STOP, Everyone listen...

...PRAY. Everyone say a prayer this afternoon!! If we pray that the team will play their best...then they'll win!!"

I have the best professor.

I'm also glad that there are other people just as excited as I am.

There's gonna be a lot of noise around campus today.

Countdown: 4 hours and 20 minutes.

Are you ready? Because it's Jimmertime.

Also if you haven't seen Tucker yet go watch him here. :)

"Dead Horse" - Guns 'N Roses

I've just gotten home from the library. I stayed until it closed. I know I'm such a good student right? Anyway I decided to reward myself my blogging some more about Moab. It might also be the fact that I purposefully drank some caffeine today to keep me awake and it is doing a mighty good job of that. So these are pictures from Saturday morning.

We all slept much better that night...well as good as 4 hours can be...and then went to Dead Horse Point. My pictures of the sunrise turned out better than the actual historic natural rocks, I mean, landscape. Again I posted a bunch of the same pictures but with different white balance to get some cool colors.

This is what a small portion of the whole valley/point place looked like.

And I really like this picture and I think it's because it somehow reminds me of Mulan.

"It Was a Lover and His Lass" - University Chorale Winter 2010

Yesterday was the first day of spring.

Which means...

Tulips!!

And other such flowers :)

These were taken at Temple Square yesterday when we went to music and the spoken word. Temple Square is the only place thus far I have seen flowers in bloom. We got to sit in Lloyd Newell's reserved seating and then we got to meet and talk with him afterwards!

"A Call I Hear" - EFY 2000

I've been in the middle of a couple of tests so I haven't been able to blog more pictures from Moab. But something exciting happened that deserves to be blogged about!

I had two friends open their mission calls yesterday. First my friend Liz who is living it up in Prague finally got her mission call yesterday. She took forever to tell everyone what it was though ;-) She's going to.....NEW JERSEY MORRISTOWN and goes in May 4! So super soon!

And now we have a soon-to-be sister missionary in the apartment! Kristin called her mission call yesterday and opened it last night she's going to............PERU LIMA NORTH! She goes into the Provo MTC the end of June. We're all super excited for her!

"It's Not Over" - Daughtry

Friday night we went to Balanced Rock to take our night shots. I think these ones turned out a lot better than Delicate Arch but I had improved a lot in 24 hours haha.

Now I am warning you that there are a lot of the same pictures but I messed around with the white balance and got different colors!

Stars! It was so cool to take the pictures and see that the camera picked up more stars than I could actually see. I think I even caught a shooting star!
You don't see starts like these at home.

Pine Tree Arch

Can anyone guess what this looks like?

This is my secret hang out place. I named it the Fishin' Hole.

"Where is the Love?" - Black Eyed Peas

BYU played TCU today. For those that didn't know.

We won. It was the most stressful thing I've been through today but I haven't taken my test yet.

I have two classes for my major that are back to back. About 90% of the classes are the same students.

We got out of our first class and there was a TV in the hallway. We stood there together and watched our team keep the lead.

Then TCU scored a three.

And then another three.

Everyone starting yelling.

Then Jimmer scored 2 free throws and we won.

So we proceeded to cheer and high five everyone else that was late to class as we walked across campus.

Our professor had already started when we came in.

Then as I took my seat I saw this girl in the front turn around and look at us and proceeded to roll her eyes at us.

Get over it. Have some school pride.

She must be a Utah fan.

"Cold Shoulder" - Adele

Friday morning we woke up at some ridiculous time like 4:30 but since I didn't sleep much anyway it did not make that big of a difference. We headed to Mesa Arch to take sunrise pictures. It. was. freezing. The wind was blowing and we all had to hold our tripods to make sure they didn't get camera shake...or blow over. But I still had fun nonetheless. It started to warm up as soon as the sun actually came out.

"First Day" - Finding Nemo Sountrack

When we left Thursday morning we headed straight to Delicate Arch. We wanted to be up there around sunset so we had plenty of time to take pictures along the way. These are probably my worst pictures of the trip because I forgot how to completely use my camera hah.

The sunset was kind of anti climatic so we didn't really get any amazing shots. But I got a few that were okay.

Some people wanted to take night pictures so we hung around until it was dark so they could get their pictures. They actually got some really cool pictures but I had already put my camera away so I didn't get any night pictures. We didn't have a moon while we were there so we hiked out of Delicate Arch with our flashlights which was actually pretty cool.

That night we got back to camp and the wind was blowing so hard. We ate dinner and then headed for bed. No one got any sleep that night. Even my professor and TA who brought down a flipping trailer to sleep in.

And that concludes entry numero uno. To be continued...
