"All of Me" - John Legend

Happy Cinco de Mayo!

I heard a really good joke about cinco de mayo a couple of years ago but I don't remember it anymore. It had something to do with the titanic carrying mayo and then sinking.

Anyway this weekend was totally awesome because Diane came to visit! We pretty much spent the entire weekend taking pictures which was great because I need to do that more often. One of the more exciting places that we took pictures was Thanksgiving Point. I've been itching to take pictures those tulips because newsflash: they're my favorite.

So out of the many of hundreds that I took here are a few of my favorites!

This one I entered into the Thanksgiving Point photo contest so we'll see how it holds out! I titled it #TulipTherapy

One of the reasons why I love shooting with Diane is that she takes pictures of me when I don't even know it and they're so artsy and wonderful. I like her for that.

Don't worry there are more pictures to come from this weekend :)

"Magic" - Coldplay

Tulips

A little taste of heaven.

Sometimes you just get really lucky and capture a super fantastic photo.

This would be one of those times.

They are so very pretty.
I love my tulips.

"Ain't It Fun" - Paramore

I took Meg and her friend out shooting (photography that is) last weekend. We had some fun times.

Meg said I looked like Katniss.

I dearly love to laugh.

I love this picture. It looks like I should be on a CD cover or something and all I was doing was picking up a stick.

Then I got to have a little fun taking pictures too!

Spring is coming!

"Not A Bad Thing" - Justin Timberlake

Yesterday was a beautiful 68 degrees. So wonderful that we even opened the windows! It seriously is such a warp when 68 degrees is warm but hey that's so much better than the 30's which is where we're at today. It snowed in the mountains which is awesome because they need it and it didn't snow here! But we have gotten rain which makes for fun picture taking! (Also the power went out again which was cool because this time I didn't have wet hair.) (Also also when the tulips start blooming there will be many, many, many more pictures to come :)

"I Want" - One Direction

So I guess this keeps happening where I have a severe moment of panic in remembrance that I have to blog except to tonight it was even more dramatic because I gasped really loudly. This weekend was exciting. I don't know if I have the time or energy to write about what happened Friday but so sum up everything we kind of just decided that the Lord has a sense of humor. I spent probably an hour Thursday night trying to figure out my plan for this weekend and guess what happened. None of it went according to plan. Don't you just love moments like that?

I am DONE in 19 days. I am so so so so so ready for a break. Man oh man. Right now I'm not even that upset that I have to be at graduation at 7 in the morning. I am so done with group projects. Whoever was the first person who did that should just be gone forever. Bleh.

But in happy news I think it might be spring in utah! The trees blossomed and the flowers bloomed this week. I can't wait till I have more time to go take more pictures. I was able to take a few this week.

"This Land" - The Lion King Soundtrack

Diane had to go to the park to do some activities for one of her classes and I decided to tag along but I just took pictures instead!

This is one of those "accidental" picture where I just pointed my camera and took it without looking.

There is green people. Things are finally blooming! Spring is coming! Well actually it's sort of coming...it snowed last night. But luckily it only stuck on the mountains.
I nearly blinded myself trying to take this picture but I was happy with how it turned out.
This is another one of those take the picture and see how it turns out. I had to hold my camera against me to keep the picture from going blurry. I give myself an A+.
The light was coming through the clouds perfectly right on the Y. This also made me start quoting The Lion King in my head when Simba asks about that shadowy place after Mufasa tells him that everything the light touches is theirs. I'm sure you wanted to know that.

"Get'cha Head In The Game" - HSM Soundtrack

So I'm working on a couple of new posts which will soon be added for your entertainment. More pictures to share because I took more yesterday. Things are finally turning green and looking beau-ti-ful. I mean come on. Dead grass and dead trees can only look beautiful for so long. I am mostly writing this post to tell everyone that I am studying for finals.

That's right folks. Finals don't start for another week and a half and I actually started Monday. Boo.Ya. Since my gallery last week the only thing I have left to do this semester is sing in my choir concert next Wednesday. I thought why not start studying now? So that my friends is what I am doing with my life these days.

Also my birthday is 2 weeks from today. I only started counting this week. My goal is to finish all my finals before my birthday so I can enjoy it with NO finals for the first time...ever.

Ok so this picture has nothing to do with this post but I just decided to add a picture from this weekend because I felt it was weird to not post any pictures.

"It Was a Lover and His Lass" - University Chorale Winter 2010

Yesterday was the first day of spring.

Which means...

Tulips!!

And other such flowers :)

These were taken at Temple Square yesterday when we went to music and the spoken word. Temple Square is the only place thus far I have seen flowers in bloom. We got to sit in Lloyd Newell's reserved seating and then we got to meet and talk with him afterwards!
