Just liked I promised here is the Chocolate Mousse Crunch Cake!
The super awesome thing about this cake was that it was so easy but looks like it took a ton of work. So step 1 get a cake mix. The recipe called for Devil's food cake which is what we used and I loved it. Bake the cake in two rounds and let them cool. Now here's where we deviated. We decided to add a layer of...Nutella!!
It tasted really good. The only downside was when we put the cake in the fridge the nutella kind of hardened and it made it a little harder to cut. But I think it was totally worth it.
Next step was the mousse. Now the book that we found the recipe in had this crazy complicated recipe to make mousse. We used Diane's mom's recipe: 1 big (like the one bigger than the king size) Hershey candy bar and 2 cups of heavy whipping cream. Diane melted the chocolate over the stove with a little and I mean a little bit of water, we whipped the cream and mixed it together. Viola. We let it chill after we put it on the cake so it was hard enough for the other layer of the cake to sit on.
Before refrigeration.
After refrigeration.
Now it's time for the ganache. We used 1/2 c of semi-sweet (you could also you dark) chocolate chips and 1/2 c whipping cream. We followed exactly what the recipe told us to: to melt it in the microwave and it turned out like this:
No bueno. So Diane decided to do it over the stove which proved to be a better choice because it turned out like this.
Perfecto! We let the ganache sit for a couple minutes before putting it on because it was really hot but I think we let it cool just a smidge too much because we had to spread it around instead of letting it just spreading it ourselves.
Now for the final step! Crushed heath bar. We used one king sized bar and it proved to be enough.
So there you have it folks. It was seriously so good. It's make me hungry just looking at these pictures again. Here is a picture of the recipe that came from the book but as you can see we didn't really follow it really much.
Now go forth and eat cake!

"Wait for You" - Elliot Yamin
So there are probably a million things that I should be blogging about. Pictures, stories, adventures from this last semester to share. I hope to get to them all now that I'm all moved in to my new apartment. You know after talking about it in high school we are finally roommates.
-side story: that lipstick was like tint and I had to scrub it off that night because I had two more finals to take.-
But I'm not quite ready to tell my new adventures until I've caught up on the old ones. Hopefully I'll have some time in-between my job searching. Woo for being an adult.
Here is a preview for a post to come. :) And let me tell you it was dang good. I think pinterest worthy even ;-)

"Only Hope" - Switchfoot
I have a feeling the next couple of posts are going to be a little sentimental. Life is changing, always moving forward. Sometimes it's hard to keep up and absorb it as it goes. We finished classes this week. I think it's been the most stressful end of semester that I've had my whole time at BYU. I think it makes me appreciate graduating even more which is now less than a week away.
I don't have to blog for homework anymore which is kind of sad. I'm going to try really hard to keep blogging because I like doing it!
I was talking to my beautiful friend Breanna and she said that I should post the rest of my pictures from my bible project so I thought I would. So if you missed the first part then go here to check them out. Now I'm gonna share the application pictures. Oh and I'll add the pictures in the same order that the apply to the ones in the last post.
Oh and tonight Rachel and I are going to try to make Pineapple Bars...take a Lemon bars recipe and substitute lemon juice for pineapple juice!! I'll let you know how it goes :)

"He is Risen!" - Hymn No.199
This week for our blogging assignment we were supposed to help someone that was more stressed than us. I tried really hard to find someone but I really didn't find anyone. So either I am super stressed or everyone is super chill right now, at least those near and dear too me. I did try and help as many people as I could if that counts for anything.
Story time! Once upon a time I had a project due on the last day of class for my Bible as Literature class. I decided to write a paper comparing the similarities between Moses and Christ. I started the paper and worked on it. Saturday I was on my way to the dungeon of the library swearing to myself that I wasn't going to leave until my paper was done because I still have two other projects that I am working on. heh. Well I stopped by Rachel's apartment and somehow she came up with the idea to do something to photography. So I threw my paper out the window and started planning a photography project on parables instead.
I chose 5 parables unique to Matthew and then took a picture for the literal version and then one of modern day application. I am still missing two pictures but I thought I would share the literal pictures. Feel free to guess except for the third one because I basically already gave you the answer. :)
Also Kaleen said something today that made me realize that I graduate NEXT WEEK people. NEXT WEEK. Is that creepy to anyone else? I can't think past Wednesday. I will be done with all my projects on Wednesday.
Also HAPPY EASTER! Rachel and I decided to have Easter dinner together. We came up with a pretty good dinner really quickly if I do say so myself. Marriage points for us!

"I Want" - One Direction
So I guess this keeps happening where I have a severe moment of panic in remembrance that I have to blog except to tonight it was even more dramatic because I gasped really loudly. This weekend was exciting. I don't know if I have the time or energy to write about what happened Friday but so sum up everything we kind of just decided that the Lord has a sense of humor. I spent probably an hour Thursday night trying to figure out my plan for this weekend and guess what happened. None of it went according to plan. Don't you just love moments like that?
I am DONE in 19 days. I am so so so so so ready for a break. Man oh man. Right now I'm not even that upset that I have to be at graduation at 7 in the morning. I am so done with group projects. Whoever was the first person who did that should just be gone forever. Bleh.
But in happy news I think it might be spring in utah! The trees blossomed and the flowers bloomed this week. I can't wait till I have more time to go take more pictures. I was able to take a few this week.
