Today is one of my bestest friend's birthday. Diane is finally joining the no-longer-a-teenager club the big 2-0!! I love Diane so much. There are just too many things to say about her! Diane is so patient and calm. She can help anybody with problems. She always listens to me complain and gives great advice. Diane has introduced me to so many things like M*A*S*H and Cadbury chocolate just to name a few. I hope that she has had an awesome wonderful birthday!
The title is a song that Diane always likes to sing and it always gets stuck in my head. I was watching an episode of Full House and heard it and I thought of Diane.
We've have had some good times together. There was one night freshmen year when we wanted to do something so Diane volunteered to be buried in the sand. She's pretty amazing like that.

Diane and I have spent many nights up together laughing and trying to be quiet for our roommates. "Trying" being the keyword there. Remember that one night where we had friends over at like 3 in the morning? That's another reason why Diane is amazing.

Diane is amazing at ASL and convinced me to take it too. She helped me with numerous assignments which turned into great entertainment for our roommates. Like when I had to do that ABC story and I tried to do gardening. You can only dig so many ways. Or this other time when I had to sign about an accident and I told the story about how the cow jumped over the fence at the ranch. I wouldn't let Diane watch me while I signed it so she just stood next to my door and sang about Steve Urkel until I messed up laughing. I think I had to record myself like 4 times.

Diane is so amazing I really don't think this post can do her justice. At the end of the semester we decided together that we were going to have a bunch of friends over so we could all hang out one more time before summer. Little did I know...Diane was going behind my back and planning a surprise birthday attack! She had been planning it the whole week before and I had no idea. I came back from my final and there Diane is making a cake and I was totally oblivious. I thought she was just making it for the party. So I was totally surprised when she walked out with all the candles lit singing Happy Birthday. There's a video on facebook that I'm tagged in if you want to go watch it. We spent at least an hour rewatching that video over and over again and she told me about everything that was going on right in front of me and I never caught on. Diane is just that outstanding!!
Unfortunately she's in Chicago and I'm in vegas so I can't really surprise her with a cake...at least not for now! I'll just have to call it a late birthday present :)

Diane likes parks. So one night we decided to give up studying for finals and go to the park. We have decided that next semester we are going to try and go to as many different parks as possible. We have a slight obsession with swings and teeter totters. As you can see Diane makes me laugh.

Now Diane has many skills. Guys like girls with skills right? Or is that supposed to be the other way around...vote for pedro! Anyway...Diane showed us that you can turn a boiling pot of water into snow when it's 20 degrees outside. We had endless fun with that.
Diane also has skills with jump roping. This was at a Relief Society Reunion sleepover and we should everyone that we could jump with just the two of us!
Diane is so amazing and I am so blessed that I was able to become friends with her. We've been through the hard, the easy, the pretty and ugly but we will always have enough memories and laughs to get us through. HAPPY BIRTHDAY DIANE!!
